Isabella Swan decides to move from sunny Phoenix, Arizona to rainy Forks, Washington to live with her father Charlie, in order to allow her mother to travel with her new husband, Phil Dwyer, a strictly minor league baseball player.
Even though she never had many friends in Phoenix, Bella quickly discovers she is the new subject of curiosity and envy at her new school in Forks, where she is quickly befriended by several students. Much to her embarrassment, she discovers that several boys are vying for her attention.Bella finds Forks a bit repetitive and lacking in joy. She never liked the ever-raining city as a child, and even referred to it in Twilight as her own personal hell on earth. However, the one exception to her boring life in Forks is Edward Cullen, the gorgeous, mysterious boy she sits next to in her biology class......
Isabella Bella Marie Swan is given an eighteenth birthday party by Alice and Edward Cullen, the vampire whom she loves, and his entire vampire family consisting of Carlisle, Alice, Emmett, Esme, Rosalie and Jasper Hale. Bella accidentally gets a paper cut there which leads to a violent and tense moment. Jasper, the newest member of the family to try out the non-human diet, cannot contain himself at the sight and smell of her blood and makes a leap for Bella.
Edward is forced to protect her, but this makes it all too clear that keeping Bella close to the family puts her at risk. In the midst of this, a pivotal moment occurs during a conversation with Carlisle while cleaning her wounds. Bella is told that Edward believes that vampires are soulless creatures and that there is no better place for them if they die....
Chapter one begins with a note from Jake to Bella. It explains that he misses her as well, but that this changes nothing between them. Charlie still wants nothing to do with Edward, attempting to show with every word and gesture that the vampire is unwelcome in the house. Seattle is revealed to be plagued by a string of unsolved murders. Charlie un-grounds Bella, but on the condition that she spend more time with her friends, especially Jacob, and not just Edward. Bella explains to Edward her desire to see Jacob again. Edward refuses explaining that werewolves are unstable and that those who associate with them often get hurt. Meanwhile, Alice has a vision that Victoria, the vampire that is hunting Bella, is back in town, so Edward, keeping this knowledge from Bella, talks Charlie into letting them take a weekend trip to Florida to see Bella’s mother....
Breaking Dawn is split into three separate or parts. The first part details Bella’s marriage and honeymoon with Edward, which they spend on a private island off the coast of Brazil. Edward grants Bella’s wish and makes love to her. Soon after, Bella finds a box of unused tampons and realizes her period is late. After contacting Carlisle, who confirms her belief that she is pregnant, she and Edward plan to return home. Edward, concerned for her wellbeing, urges her to get an abortion. However, Bella wants to keep the child and decides to contact Rosalie for support, as she knows Rosalie has always wanted children.
The second part changes to Jacob Black’s point of view, and lasts throughout Bella’s pregnancy and childbirth. The pack of werewolves, not knowing what danger the unborn child may pose, make plans to destroy it...
