Maggie
|
Maggie is a vampire, member of the Irish Coven. She is described as small and not physically imposing with bouncy red curls. Maggie has the gift of knowing when she is lied to, and is firmly trusted by the rest of her coven. She helped witness for the Olympic Coven against the Volturi. Unlike the Cullens, Maggie is not a "vegetarian".
She was not an original member of the Irish coven, but her power gained her quick access to it. Maggie will be portrayed by actress Marlane Barnes in the second half of Breaking Dawn. |
Breaking Dawn
During Breaking Dawn, she arrived with the rest of her coven to see why Carlisle had contacted her. It was then she found out about Renesmee and because of her ability she was able to determine the baby was not an Immortal child. She later stood as a witness for the Cullens to try and save the child. She, like the rest of her Coven, returned to Ireland at the end of the book.
Vampire Abilities - Lie Sensory
In addition to her talents of a vampire, she is also gifted with the ability to sense whether someone is lying to her. This becomes very useful when helping the Cullens, as when the Volturi came for Renesmee and Aro was about to tell her she was going to be fine, and Maggie knew that he was lying.
Etymology
